ALLYSON PIMENTEL EdD
Allyson Pimentel, EdD, co-founder of Om Factory, is a licensed clinical psychologist, yoga teacher, and long-time practitioner of vipassana meditation. Allyson received her doctorate in Human Development and Psychology from Harvard University. She is a senior psychologist in the Mind-Body Program and Geriatric Psychiatry Clinic at Bellevue Hospital Center, as well as a Clinical Instructor of Psychiatry at the New York University School of Medicine. Allyson is a senior meditation student at New York Insight Meditation Center and completed her yoga teacher certification at Laughing Lotus Yoga Center. Allyson’s classes and workshops integrate principles of psychotherapy, mindfulness, and yoga, and emphasize the power of these practices to generate wisdom, insight, and joy. In addition to her hospital-based work and her teaching of meditation and yoga, Allyson sees clients in her private adult psychotherapy practice.
